This is a boring video, but it's Colton in action right now.  Not a lot going on with a newborn.

This was a fun photo shoot.  Theresa has a knack for posing naked babies. 

Theresa and Ava Visit Santa Cruz

Whenever there is a new baby, you can count on Theresa to be there.  Ava is also following in her mom's footsteps.  They had to take timed 10-minute turns holding Colton.  Eden had a great time playing with Ava.  Wish they lived close to each other -- they would be best buddies!

Eden Checks Out Colton

Eden is very curious about Colton.  Mostly, she wants to kiss and hug him, but she tries to get in the occasional slap when we are not looking.  Sorry to say, Colton, but this is not the last time that you're sister is going to inflict pain on you.  I give Colton two more years of abuse before he starts to defend himself.

First Bath

Colton loves his bath time.  It's very relaxing for him.  He especially likes to get his hair washed!

Home at Last

Colton pretty much sleeps all day.  Here are some pictures from his first several days at home. 

First Doctor's Visit

We took Colton to the pediatrician for a newborn visit.  Five days after being born, Colton had already gained 7 oz from his hospital weight.  Good eater!  Here are his stats:

Height:  21 in (75%)
Weight:  8 oz (50%)
Head:  14 in (50%)

We were happy to see that his head was a normal size.  To this day, Eden's head has always measured off the charts.  We'll see if head size has any correlation to intelligence.

Time with Eden

We weren't sure how Eden would react to the new baby.  During our first week home with Colton, we noticed that Eden was more needy and started to act out more than normal.  As a result, we tried to spend more alone time with Eden so that she could still feel like we were giving her lots of attention.  Here we are on an outing at the park.  As you might imagine, Eden did not want to go home.

We weren't sure how Eden would react to Colton. We spent a lot of time talking about little brother (a.k.a Toucan) before he was born, but we weren't really sure if Eden understood. The big meeting was a little anti-climatic. Eden wasn't feeling very well, but at least she didn't attack Colton (during the first meeting, at least).
